I'm sure there are many ways he is still suffering from this, these things don't just go away and trying to erase them is not only pointless but a disservice.

But he can interact with other things just fine, so he isn't trapped. It's just a foot in the door. If he needs help not slipping back in, then all of us will help.

What do I need to do, break the whole room?

[Y'know what, maybe just for good measure even. Fuck this room, it hurt her son? She picks up the lid of the toilet tank and throws it against the tub as hard as she can. Because she can.]

Now you're just making a mess. But the tub is pretty sturdy so the lid does nothing except maybe put a chip in it.

But also, it's something Battler's done probably more than once, too. Hard to keep track of the room destruction, y'know.

[This tub sucks. At least she feels just a little better. It would be easy to just waste time kicking at the spout and breaking the sink too, but. Guess she'll actually try to be productive instead.

It is, but it is in a similar state of definitely got torn up a bit. Still sturdy enough to provide that entrance earlier, though. So there's that.

Inspecting the door does show that the chain is unlocked, of course, but also that there has been tape used to ensure that any breaking of the chain would have been impossible. Residue on the door shows that there had been tape sealing the outside of it, as well.

Interacting with these things... show that this was just one layer of the torment.

The rest was just as bad, if not worse. Remember that one time Battler said he didn't want to go into it? Remember that?
